– Web Ordering System for Promotional Materials integrated with 3PL Services –
At the Sakata Group, we provide 3PL services that centrally manage your promotional material logistics through our in-house developed Web Ordering System.
1. Web Ordering System Features
(1) Real-time Information Access and Downloads via Web
- Easily implemented in any PC environment with an internet connection. *1
- Users can perform inventory inquiries and search shipping history at any time, with the ability to download results as CSV files.
- Inventory is deducted the moment an entry is confirmed, allowing users to always view currently available stock.
[Note] *1. Recommended environment: Windows 10 or higher, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome. Other environments may not function optimally.
(2) ID-based Permission and Access Control
- Operation permissions are linked to IDs, allowing control over accessible menus. For example, administrator login provides access to master data maintenance (delivery destinations, products) that regular users cannot access.
- IDs can be linked to departments (branches/sections), restricting users to view only their own department’s data. This is useful for allocating inventory by department for sales planning.
(3) Integration with Warehouse Management Systems
- The system integrates with our Warehouse Management System (WMS). Confirmed order data is automatically transferred to the WMS database for shipping. Warehouse receipt data is also automatically reflected in the Web Ordering System.
- By returning data from the WMS after shipment, operation status and carrier tracking numbers are reflected in the history. (Standard feature when using our warehouses).
- Multiple logistics locations can be managed simultaneously.
2. Benefits of Implementing the Web Ordering System
(1) Order Operations
- Faster response times for delivery inquiries, improving customer satisfaction.
- Enables inventory management and temporary stock reservation by department.
- Reduces time spent on orders via FAX or telephone.
- Sales representatives no longer need to maintain product or destination info, allowing them to focus on sales activities.
- Eliminates the need for manual data entry at the warehouse, reducing errors.
- Enables remote work and emergency responses via mobile environments.
(2) Management Operations
- Enables inventory allocation by branch/section based on sales plans, clarifying stock responsibility.
- Aggregates usage records for analysis by representative, item, brand, or destination company.
- Account-specific maintenance permissions for product and destination data (new/closed stores) improve staff accountability.
- Centralizes and visualizes nationwide inventory and shipping history.
- Inventory visibility and access control allow staff to get the right information at the right time.
(3) Warehouse Operations
- Simplifies operations through unified nationwide rules.
- Real-time reflection of warehouse inventory ensures rapid confirmation.
- Automatic transmission of shipping instructions prevents missed instructions or shipping delays.
- Physical-based inventory management prevents stock discrepancies.
